The Chicago Headline Club
proudly presents
The 11th Annual Gridiron Show
Gridiron 1997
Out of It in Africa

This year, Gridiron returns to its roots: Short skits. Short show. Lots of music. Gratuitous name dropping. Alright, we don't have the budget of the Bar Show, but we DO have a sense of humor. We can be self-deprecating and, like all journalists, we also have the ability to miss large truths despite overwhelming facts.

For the faint of heart, the potty-mouths among us have been (somewhat) curbed. We still have lots of booze! Even more with liquor sponsors underwriting Official Gridiron Drinks.

This year we go after the Chicago City Council, the Mayor, the Governor, our Senior Senator--about whom we predicted victory when she was but a struggling Recorder of Deeds. We also take on radio talk hosts, sports greats, the CTA, the Board of Education, the suburbs and the citizens of Chicago--without whom where would we all be? Gary, that's where!

Remember. It's your show. Get to know us. Get to love us. We're cheap and we're tax deductible! Come early, come often. Or next year YOU might be grist for our mill! We mean it!

Thursday, May 8 & Friday, May 9, 1997
Doors open at 7:30, show begins at 8:00pm
Park West Theatre- 322 West Armitage, Chicago
